Joe Cada Supports Efforts for Online Poker Legalization
Joe Cada is the youngest player to ever win the World Series of Poker. This much we all know about the 22 years old man. But since he won his WSOP title on November, Joe Cada seems to be doing a whole lot more for the poker community.
Cada, who is an online poker player, became a dominant advocate for the legalization of online poker. The highlight of his activity was no doubt his recent visit to Washington DC, promoting the idea of legalization of online poker with law makers.
Cada who was accompanied by the Poker Players Alliance representatives has met with several Congressmen, during his visit. He met with Reps Linda Sanchez, Allen Boyd, Kendrick Meek, Steve Cohen, Candice Miller, Joe Barton, Dean Heller, Gary Peters and Shelley Berkley. He also met with Senators: Debbie Stabenow and Carl Levin.
In a recent interview to the Time Magazine, Cada explained why he believes online poker should be legalized. “Poker isn’t gambling. It’s a hobby, an activity, a game. It’s not about luck – It’s about logic, decision-making, math.”
Cada is expected to continue his ambassadorship for online poker and his cooperation with the Poker Players Alliance.
