Poker room EverestPoker.com facelifts its website. Facelift includes new modern design, and improved features, upgrading its user interface and user experience. Improved features include an easier to use and more user friendly navigation, a wider, more advanced community section, and an improved “help” tool.
This redesign for Everest Poker website comes shortly after Taiwan based parent company GigaMedia announced that it is in final round discussions with two parties, regarding a potential strategic partnership or sale involving its poker and casino software business.
The announcement was made in June 9 during GigaMedia report of first quarter 2009 financial results. GigaMedia reported that its poker business’ $21.6 million 2009 first quarter revenues reflected a decline of 27 percent from the same period of 2008 and 10 percent from the fourth quarter of 2008. This steep decline is attributed to the impact of the adverse economic climate in Europe and depreciation of the euro against the U.S. dollar, which has continued to increase playing costs, resulting in decreased player spending.
It remains to be seen what impact the new design will have on Everest Poker future.
