It took 5 days of intensive and exciting play, but the final table of the European Poker Tour London is now set. The 8 finalists overcame a record number of 730 players who signed up for the event, in the hope of taking home a part of the humongous prize pool of £3.5M.
The big winner from this list of 8 will be named the champion of the European Poker Tour London and will go home with £850,000. Runner up will have to settle for £530,000 and third place for a little under £300,000.
Of the 8 finalists, there is one very interesting name – Peter Eastgate, who won last years’ World Series of Poker main event. This is a great opportunity for 23 years old Eastgate to prove that winning the 2008 WSOP main event was not a one time thing. Winning the EPT London main event will definitely help establishing Eastgate as one of the leading poker players in the world today.
Here is the full list of the 8 finalists: Aaron Gustavson, Peter Eastgate, Martin Gudvangen, Nikolai Senninger, Dominic Cullen, Raymond Wu, Rui Milhomens, Karim Bennani.
When EPT London ends, season 5 of the European Poker Tour will continue its journey to Warsaw, Poland (Oct 20-25); Vilamoura, Portugal (Nov 17-22); Prague, Czech Republic (Dec 1-6); Atlantis Resort, Bahamas (Jan 4-14). See you there…
