Schedule for the 2010 WSOP is announced
After celebrating its 40th anniversary last year, the World Series of Poker, the most prestigious poker tournament in the world returns to its 41st year. According to the tournament’s schedule, its’ structure will be almost identical to last year’s.
The WSOP will be held May 27th to July 17th and 47 golden bracelets will be handed out (the same number as last year).
Here are a few highlights from the newly released schedule of the World Series of Poker:
Event #2, the $50K buy-in eight-game mixed event, is a new format, transformed from the $50K H.O.R.S.E, held in recent years. It will commence May 28th, and will be fully televised by ESPN.
A new event to be held this year in the WSOP is Event #52, the $25K 6-Handed No-Limit Holdem, which will commence June 30th.
The $10,000 No Limit Holdem main event will take place, as in previous years, at the end of the tournament, July 5th to July 17th, when its final table of nine will be determined. Final table will be held November 6-9, when the world poker champion will be crowned.
The 2010 WSOP will be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino Convention Center in Las Vegas, where almost 100,000 square foot will be dedicated to the tournament.
